Abstract ENG: This research project proposes to conduct an interdisciplinary analysis of the architectural heritage of the Calatino area, in the municipalities of Vizzini, Mineo, Licodia Eubea, and Grammichele (CT), with a particular focus on unfinished facades and the changes that occurred during reconstruction and post-earthquake construction sites following the 1693 earthquake, drawing on the disciplines of Architectural Representation and the History of Architecture. The study investigates the role that surveying, analysis, and digital reconstruction methodologies can play in understanding 17th-century Sicilian buildings, with the goal of enhancing the architectural heritage of the Calatino region and making it accessible, understandable, and engaging; disseminating the results obtained; and stimulating reflection on the significance of the historical events that led to various transformations in Sicilian architecture. This research thus represents a significant contribution to the dialogue between technology and heritage, laying the groundwork for future initiatives that combine scientific rigor with public engagement.
